Esther’s Story

My passion for working with young children was the driving force behind the creation of Red Door Playgroup. I discovered my natural affinity for childcare at a young age while taking care of my nieces and nephews. This inspired me to pursue a career in early-childhood education, leading me to earn a Master of Science in Early Childhood Literacy from Pace University.

In 2017, I also became a certified teacher in Early Childhood Literacy in New York State, and I have been working as a preschool teacher, following the Reggio Emilia approach, for eight years.

As an educator, I am committed to creating an environment where all children are acknowledged and celebrated through play, literacy, music/self-expression, and their culture. My goal is to embrace a child's uniqueness and nurture their inherent curiosity about the world around them. At Red Door Playgroup, we achieve this by engaging children in park adventures, music classes, gardening, and other fun indoor and outdoor activities.
